Petty Cash Book Management Template

Besides maintaining a main or general cash book, many companies also maintain a small cash book known as petty cash book to record small day to day expenditures of the business. This template was designed to be used not only as a petty cash book, but to give a daily and monthly overview of your real cash reserve.

Cash Book:

On this screen you will manage your Cash Book entries, both income and expenses. Record information such as date, value, description, category, customer name, supplier, paid value, and any other observation.

Monthly Summary:

Here you can find the consolidated monthly summary of cash income and expenses. This tab was designed to help you monitor the opening balance, entries and final balance by month. All data are presented in graphs of Income vs Expenses and Final Balance evolution. There is also a Payment Summary where you can visualize the monthly income and expenses by payment methods.

Daily Summary:

This screen displays the daily summary by consolidating all income and expenses. You can track the opening balance, all entries and final balance at the end of the day, according to the month chosen. You can also choose a specific date to check the daily summary of payments.

Income and Expenses Details:

It shows a PivotTable report with the Sum of Income and Expenses. In this report you can use “Customer / Supplier” filters, drill down and go through different categories to find out the Final Balance by month.

Database:

On this screen, you can register some items that will be used as a drop-down list in the Cash Book screen. These include the Customer/Supplier Name, Categories, Payment Methods, the opening balance on january 1st (if you start the worksheet in any other month, leave this balance blank and use the Cash Book screen to include an entry in the corresponding initial month).
